Sarah & James Deep Summer Engagement | Dumfries Engagement Shoot.
We set out on what must have been one of the best evenings of the year for Sarah & James Dumfries Engagement Shoot. Setting out at 8pm, knowing that we had a little walk to get to the location. With the night being still very young, we made our way along the rocky beachfront till finally reaching our destination. We spent the walk laughing and chatting all about their big weddings plans which are coming in 2020. And I for one am super excited and honoured to be apart of it!
This place has to be one of my favourite in the region for a Dumfries engagement shoot, with views that honestly would beat anywhere else in the country! The long rolling tall grass, the clifftop viewpoint and the views overlooking the Solway Firth what’s not to love.
With the sun consistently setting in the hills behind them, Sarah and James made the most of what the night had to offer smiling, chatting away and having a brilliant time doing so. Engagement shoots provide so much more than just beautiful final images. They capture a moment in time, truly madly deeply in love together.
As eleven o’clock nearly rolled around, it was finally dusk and blue hour. This is the hour directly after the sun sets, which isn’t seen a great as golden hour, has an excellent quality of soft light as well. I brought out the little teepee I had made with my wife, Shauni. We covered in the flowers and the fairy-lights knowing it would look incredible and it didn’t disappoint. As the light rapidly fading for the day in front of us, we made our way back down the footpath to the cars knowing that it had been a fantastic evening.
Peace out, Cameron.
