I was honoured when Becky and Martin asked me do to their Craigadam Wedding Photography for their big day. Having shot at the quirky venue a few times I knew we were in for a treat. So the day finally comes and it’s scorching hot, we have had a good few summers these past few years and this day was no exception. Becky got ready upstairs in the venue, whilst Martin and his Groomsmen got ready at their house. After a good few tears of laughter and happiness including when Beckys Dad Roy say her for the first time it was ceremony time.
The opted to have the ceremony outside in the beautiful Orchard at Craigadam, with Humanist David Smith at the helm. Going into wonderful detail about the couples love story and what makes them special and unique. After a handfasting, they sealed they’re wedding with a celebratory kiss. Unfortunately, Martin, as they went to sign the schedule, sat down with a kilt ontop of a nettle which much to the amusement of his Groomsmen must have been agony so fair play for ploughing on regardless! The speeches were hilarious with Martins best man Hutchy bringing out multiple life-size cutouts of Martin from the Stag too which as you’ll see in the pictures kept everyone entertained.
Now a summer wedding isn’t complete on a day like it was without an obligatory Golden Hour couples shoot. For those of you who don’t know Golden hour is the hour before sunset when the light is at it’s most softest and romantic as heck! So we set out to find a field just a few moments from the venue and got some beautiful shots of the couple with the stunning Galloway Hills in the Distance.
I for one love Craigadam Wedding Photography, it’s a fantastic location with so many little quirks you can’t help but fall for the place! Thank you so much, Martin and Becky, for letting me be apart of your epic Wedding!.
